I chose this for Thanksgiving and it came out just perfect and I followed the directions I found online how to prepare the mold before you add the butter. It is actually quite large and would be useful for a large gathering where many people are attending. It does take 9 sticks of butter to make it. I used real butter which is more expensive I would suggest just useing margarine. You need to prepare by putting it in ice for 30 minutes and then in the fridge for 30 minutes and then pour soda water to coat the mold after you take it out of the fridge. The butter must be room temperature and mine took over 3 hours to get there by using real butter, margarine would probably take less. It was worth the investment getting it. Next year I will do a chocolate turkey.

I was shocked at how large they were for butter molds ( my fault for not reading closely). It would have been nice to have had instructions since I've never done this.
